Boleslaw Constantine Filipczyk, Jr.

Age 69, of the Greater Washington, DC area passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on Thursday, July 6, 2017.   Beloved husband of the late Jill; loving father of Katie (Stephen); grandfather “Beeps” of Hannah and Heidi; brother of Benia (Ed), Tania (Doug), Maria (Brian), Michael (Tina), and the late Patty (Paul). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ben is a Veteran of the US Army and helps active and inactive service men and women cope with PTSD. He is a member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans (PLAV), the Polish National Alliance (PNA), and the Knights of Columbus. Ben’s favorite past times include crossword puzzles, going to Nats' games, and most of all, adoring his granddaughters.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3630 Quesada St. NW, Washington, DC, on Saturday, July 29 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
