Carol C. Grattan passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Harry Grattan III. Loving mother of Linda Korr (Thomas) and the late Mary McAuley. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Amanda Teeling (Sean), Janet Petrone (Dennis) and Sean McAuley; and five great-grandchildren, Jack, Dylan, Sawyer Teeling and Robbie, Mikayla Petrone.
She was the granddaughter of Charles Sanger Mellen, President of the New Haven, Hartford and New York Railroad, Boston and Maine railroad. She graduated with a bachelor's at American University; member of Kappa Delta Sorority; and active member of the Altar Guild at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Bethesda, MD, as well as Girl Scouts of America Troop leader and housewife.
A memorial mass will take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 starting at 11:00AM at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 6030 Grosvenor Lane, Bethesda, MD
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church and the American Diabetes Association.
