Eileen met her husband, Henry, while he was a student at Georgetown Dental School. They married on July 24, 1954, and Henry established his dental practice in Tenleytown, Washington DC. They had 5 children, Catherine, Mary, Henry, Julianne, and Nancy.
Eileen and Henry lived in Bethesda, MD most of their married lives. Homemaker extraordinaire, Eileen also worked part-time for Henry’s dental practice and, in her spare time, was a champion of the unborn, participating in many right-to-life activities.
Eileen is survived by 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was known for her love of games. Until about a week before her death, she skillfully played Play Nine and Rummikub. She was quite competitive and was never a sore loser. Her favorite expressions were: “It could be worse!” and “I am so very, very blessed.”
A visitation will be held at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 4101 Norbeck Rd., Rockville, MD on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm.
