

Ethel Killingsworth Schricker, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family, February 22, 2024. A faithful member of The National Presbyterian Church of Washington, DC. Daughter of the late Lloyd and Ethel; Sister to the late Rosalie and Mary. A faithful companion to "TC", her dearly loved cat (who also has passed, a few months ago).
Widow to the late John William, she is also preceded in death by her beloved daughters Samantha and Cherie'. Surviving family; she was the loving mother to daughters, Norma Jeanne, Lori (Scotty), Jerri, and son-in-law Danny (husband to Samantha). The adoring grandmother of Eric, Angela (Adam), Max (Monique') Harley, Peerce, Elizabeth (Shawn), Morgan, Valerie, Scotty Jr (Heather), David, Vince II (Allison), Nichole (Tony), Robert (Paige). As well as, 19 great-grand children, 2 great-great-grand children, and many preciously loved nieces and nephews.
Ethel was always very classy, elegant and kind. She is already greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is an honored graduate of Hood College, and employed at the Frederick Board of Education for 30 years until her retirement. As a lifelong learner and educator, she took great pride in promoting and teaching adult education. Ethel was a strong advocate for the importance of reading and education. She believed in the great works done by The Literacy Council of Frederick County and proudly donated her time and resources in support. Her civic interests also include; lifetime member of the NRA, Chamber of Commerce and Toastmasters. Ethel loved to travel the world and enjoyed many diverse travel adventures. Places such as, Israel, Alaska and Pocomoke City, were a few of her favorites.
