On November 6, 2018 of Washington, DC. Beloved husband of Jane Hoffmann and preceded by his beloved wife, Patricia, of 49 years. Loving father of Fred (Theresa), Joan (Bob), Christine (Leo), Richard (Janice), Patty (Mike), and the late Ann Marie. Son of the late Frederick Hoffmann Sr. and Eva Sweeney Brother of Mary and Skip and was preceded in death by June, Loretta, Eva, Dorothy, Vincent, Carl and John. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Served in the US Army Quartermaster Corps during World War II in the Philippines and New Guinea. Retired from the D.C. Fire Department, after 23 years.
Visitation will be held at Mother Seton Catholic Church, Germantown MD, on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.
Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD.
