

Glenn was born on April 18th, 1946 in Washington, DC to Russell A. Young and Doris Pinkard Young. He served in the United States Airforce as a tail gunner on a B-52. He received his Bachelors of Science from the University of Maryland, and his Masters from the University of Kentucky, and spent his career as school teacher and entrepreneur.
Glenn loved his God, Country and Family. On August 05, 1972 he married Lynda Hart, and they raised two children. He spent his days traveling with his family, he loved the beach, water, golf, and Corvettes. He was well known for his warm personality, magnetism, hospitality and energetic lust for life.
Glenn was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, as well as his brother, Kenneth. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lynda. Glenn was also survived by his son, Glenn Russell Young II and his children with Sarah, Glenn Russell III, Henry Jones, and Mildred Katherine (Millie.) Glenn was also survived by his daughter, Pamela Wasnick (Kolby,) and his Sister Connie Kahl (Brad,) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In person memorial services will be held this Spring/Summer as Covid safety allows.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Freedom Alliance, an organization that supports our nation’s military, our veterans, and their families.
