Hon (Frances) Fong Hing

In loving memory of Hon (Frances) Fong Hing, who passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, at her home in Fairfax, VA at the age of 94. Born on August 1, 1930, in Hong Kong China, Frances immigrated to the United States during the 1940s. Frances had very successful ownership of China Gourmet and Shun Lee restaurants both in Fairfax, Virginia. She had a warm welcome for all who entered and met many friends as a result. Frances is predeceased by her husband Raymond Hing, who passed in 1986.

Frances was not just a beloved, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, she was a kind and caring woman who got along with everyone. She always had time for people and was able to have conversations with any person she met.

Frances is survived by her children Ronnie (Teresa), Dennis (Susan), Donald (Diane), and Joy Hing, eleven grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her dear friend, Sara George who gave her unselfish commitment to Frances.

As we say goodbye to this wonderful soul, we hold dear the memories she leaves behind. Frances, may you rest peacefully.
