

John B. ?Jack? Flynn, University of Maryland Hall of Fame athlete and a distinguished aviation expert, died on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at the age of 90. Mr. Flynn captained the University of Maryland men?s baseball and basketball teams. He was the leading scorer all 3 years - still the record. He was All-Conference playing shortstop for the baseball team and as a forward for the basketball team; receiving All-American recognition, the Berger Trophy and Silvester Watch award. He earned his BS and MBA from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD and his LLB/JD in Law from The American University, Washington, D.C. Mr. Flynn has been recognized in ?Who?s Who? and as an M-Club Distinguished Citizen.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy McCaslin Flynn, his four children, Ellen, Betsy, John, and Jamie, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held in the multipurpose room at Ingleside at King Farm, 701 King Farm Blvd., Rockville, MD 20850 on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
