Beloved husband of Jane Grant Adams, and in earlier years, the late Judith Ann Enright, mother of his children;

Loving father of Karen Ward (the late Larry) Lynch and John Emmett (Jeanne) Ward Jr., and loving stepfather of Susan (Bryan) Adams. Loving grandfather of Emmett Joseph (Beth) Ward, Shelby (Allen) Dorsey, Shane Patrick (Kristin) Ward, and Kailey Lynch, and loving step-grandfather of Annika Adams Baldwin. Loving great-grandfather of eight great-grandchildren: Paisley, Isla, Finn, Cora, Juliana, Cole, Clara, and Andrew. Loving brother of Marian (the late Bob) McVeigh, and his late brothers James (the late Claudette), Joseph, and William (Michele) Ward. Loving brother-in-law of Jackie Enright and Steve (Carol) Enright. Loving son of James H. and Marian C. Ward.

Memorial services will be held at North Bethesda United Methodist Church, 10100 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, Maryland. The date and time will be posted as plans are made.
