Larry Edward Ruhland passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday May 22, 2020. He was 81. Larry was born on January 30, 1939 in Bedford VA to Gladys and James Ruhland. He attended Virginia Tech and he was a veteran who served in the Nuclear Navy from 1960 to 1969.
Larry briefly worked for Baltimore Gas and Electric then moved on to a dynamic career with Bechtel Group (BGI) in 1974. His first position at Bechtel was as a Cost Engineer and he was elected to Senior Vice President in 1991. Larry, being devoted to his family, retired in 1998.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Carole; and his two children Natalie Ruhland and Sean Ruhland.
A private memorial service will be held.
