Born on October 22, 1942, in Lubbock, Texas, Linda was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bernadine Bartek. As her father served in the U.S. military, she lived in interesting locations during her childhood, including two years in Japan shortly after the end of World War II, and Washington DC. She attended college at the University of New Mexico where she studied interior design before moving to New York where she met her husband and life-long partner Michael Boyle while he was a cadet at West Point. They married in June of 1963, with sons Michael and Brandt following shortly after that, and daughter Allison in 1974. Family life included a tough year of 1969 in which Linda cared for two sons while her husband was away in Vietnam, five wonderful years living in Bitburg, Germany, and then five decades in Maryland living a wonderfully blessed life with her family. This included numerous trips to Europe with her husband Mike, family vacations and sporting events, and regular “special time with Nana” with each grandchild.
Linda was the heart of her family – a beloved, hard-working, and absolutely devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose overflowing love and amazing faith in Christ encouraged and strengthened all of those around her. She was known for her vibrant Catholic faith which she lived out by loving and serving all of those that she encountered. Many of these years included serving in the Mother of God Community where she particularly cared for and served other women. As a culmination and evidence of that life of love and faith, Linda wrote and illustrated a beautiful seven book series on living out the love of Christ. https://tinyurl.com/lindaboyle1

She is also survived by her loving siblings Ronald Bartek (Raychel), Karen Maxwell, and Mary Lyn Bartek.
