Greetings, Ms. Tabit was my third grade teacher back in 1996-1997.  I was randomly thinking of all my elementary school teachers, decided to google them when I learned that Ms. Tabit had passed away.  I sent her an email 8 years ago when I began working for MCPS and she remembered who I was.  I am saddened to have read of her passing.  And I'd like for everyone to know that Ms. Tabit was a wonderful teacher.  She taught me how to write in cursive (which I still do to this day), she taught me multiplication and division (I am still horrible at math), and she helped me a lot in reading.

I did not see Louise as much after leaving the neighborhood. We ran into each other not too long ago - I remember being so excited seeing her smiling face...Rob too. She gave wonderful advice to my daughter and we were hoping to connect again. Her spirt, her kindness and all that she was will be remembered. I will miss you Louise...xo

I am so very sorry for the loss this family is enduring.  It truly breaks my heart.  

Robby and Louise were college sweethearts, married and had two boys, Spencer and Trevor.  Aside from the boys and Robby’s work, Louise was pretty much everything to him.  My heart now hurts for Robby as he learns to live life without her… one day at a time.  

Louise raised her boys to be such polite young men, with the kind of manners you don’t see in too many kids these days.  They are sweet, well educated, well rounded, and have their whole lives ahead of them.  I suspect they will deal with the loss of their Mom each in their own way.  I pray that they lean on each other.

I am family by marriage to Louise (Robby’s Aunt).  Living a couple of states away, I did not have the opportunity to see them very often.  But when I did, the one thing I remembered most about Louise was her beautiful smile.  She always seemed to be smiling, even when she was speaking.  I loved that about her.  I will miss her.  And I will continue to pray for this family.

I will be forever grateful to Rob and Louise for opening their home to my son and feeding him too many times to count! The Tabit house became the "hangout house" during the teen years and beyond. Not only was Louise the ultimate mama bear for Spencer and Trevor, but she became the ever-present cheerleader for their friends too. I marveled at Louise’s ability to connect with kids.  She made them feel special and was genuinely interested in their lives and goals. 

 For me, I learned so much from my friendly friend Louise. She was a gift, a master in the art of storytelling, who amused me over the years with her latest anecdotes and self-deprecating humor. She always had a smile and while she could be a force to be reckoned with, I never witnessed an angry Louise. When it came to communicating, Louise didn’t subscribe to the “less is more” philosophy. When I needed her advice, there was no such thing as a brief phone chat or a single text exchange. I will miss her multiple-paragraph text message replies and our long phone conversations. I could always count on Louise to give it to me straight. I wish, like everyone, that I had more time with her. But the way she lived will continue to challenge me to be better.  Louise unknowingly showed how to give without expectation, listen without judgment, and make time for the things that matter most. I will try my best to honor Louise’s memory by doing the same.

It is with a heavy heart that I reflect upon the memory of Louise, a truly remarkable person who touched our lives in more ways than one. Though it has been many years since we last spoke, the impact she made us remains indelible.

Our children grew up together in grade school, and I remember how Louise always went above and beyond to ensure their happiness and well-being.

As a mother, she was a shining example of what it means to put family first. Her unwavering dedication to her children and her unwavering love for her husband were truly inspiring. And as a friend, she was a ray of sunshine, always ready with a kind word or a warm smile.

Louise's passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. But her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will live on forever in the hearts of all those she touched. Rest in peace, dear Louise. You will be deeply missed.

I was deeply sorry to learn about the death of Louise, please accept my heartfelt sympathy. Rob, Spencer and Trevor are in my thoughts.

We saw Louise last year for the first time when we moved to the neighborhood. She was the first one to welcome us with an amazing smile. She helped us so much through the past year and was always one of the coolest people around to chat with. We will miss her…

I met Louise when our boys played basketball together in middle school. She was kind and funny and helpful -- especially when my oldest decided to go to UMD. She was full of great advice and happy to share it with anyone who needed it. She loved to talk about Trevor and Spencer and what they were up to -- she was so proud of all they accomplished.  Our neighborhood lost a great one....

Louise was such a kind, caring, knowledgeable friend . We had great conversations and she was always so helpful. I will miss our talks and our dinners with the boys. I miss her already but I am here for all of you.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Tabit family for their loss.   I will keep all of you in my prayers as you endure this difficult period.

I first met Louise when my daughter was attending Rachel Carson Elementary School. We would volunteer for PTA events like the back to school picnics, book fairs and classroom parties. Louise was so happily involved in all aspects of her kids’ education and was so organized it was truly inspiring to volunteer alongside her.  I found her such an amazing person to be around not only for her intellect but her sense of humor. Throughout the years we would run into each other at parties, school events or just walking in the neighborhood. No matter how much time had passed Louise was someone you wanted to stop and talk too. She was always willing to offer her guidance and advice on any subject matter. I remember when she noticed how frustrated I was at one of the early high school meetings and she promptly gave me a call to help plan my daughters 9th grade class schedule.  Her willingness to be there and connect to people is why I think so many people gravitated to her. My husband and I both are still trying to process this and our hearts go out to Robert, Spencer and Trevor and her entire family. 

I am so very sorry for your loss. Although we haven't spoken much in the past year, Louise was one of the first people I had playdates with when Ryan was young. She was always a trusted resource on things related to signing up for QO classes and we had many a deep conversation about the state of education here and across the country. She was always a strong advocate for her boys and their greatest cheerleader. I admired her commitment to her workouts and would see her regularly walking in front of our house to go to and from the Clubhouse gym. Her light will continue to shine, and she will be very much missed by all who had the gift of knowing her. May her memory be a blessing.

I love that Louise always was smiling. Her expressions and charm for being able to share a story made me light up inside and had me laughing. She was incredibly thoughtful. I loved that she was so driven and poured her heart and soul into everything she did. She always made me feel special and that she was so happy to see me.  I will miss her smile, her laugh, and contagious enthusiasm. I love you Louise!
