Maria G. Silva

On Tuesday March 21, 2017 Maria G. Silva, of Germantown MD and formerly of Santiago, Chile.  Born July 24, 1930.  She was a  retired Radio/TV Newscaster for United States Information Agency (Voice of America, WORLDNET, Radio Marti) in the 1980’s and 90’s.  She was a radio announcer, singer, and radio comedian in her native Chile in the 1940’s and 50’s under her stage name Marcia Müller.  Mrs. Silva became a United States citizen on March 29, 1998. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 63 years Ivan Silva, Sr., sisters Angela and Carla(Chile), her four children Ivan(Tricia), Carlos(Tracy), Marcia and Miguel, Grandchildren Steven(Carrie), Robert, and Amanda and her 4 loving great grandchildren Collin, Dakota, Hunter and Reese…and Molly, her loving dog. Friends may call at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM  when a memorial service will be held  at 11:00 AM.
