Michael died at his home on Wednesday, July 27th due to a massive coronary event. Michael was a graduate of St.John's College High School, class of 1970 and the University of Maryland, class of 1974. Michael is survived by threebrothers, Shane, Kevin, & Patrick, loving sisters-in-laws, Karen, Marilu, and Mary Beth, seven nieces & nephews and by countless people he touched throughout his life. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Shane & Anna MacCarthy and by his brother Tim. Services will be on Monday, August 15th at 11 a.m. at St Paul's Episcopal Church, 2430 K Street NW, Washington, DC 20037, followed by a family interment at St Mary's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Michael’s name to the Grate Patrol of St. Paul’s Parish.
