

Born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 6, 1949, to George and Bernice (Krueger) Reese. Nora was a devoted mother to her daughters, Amanda and Kate, and a loving grandmother to her four grandchildren, who were truly the lights of her life.
Nora cherished her family above all else. She took great joy in being a mother and grandmother and treasured the time she spent with her daughters and grandchildren. Her love, warmth, and devotion to her family will always be remembered.
Nora had a lifelong love of travel and the Spanish language. She was a Spanish teacher at Catherine Thomas School and Glenelg Country Day School. She also taught English as a Second Language (ESOL) through Catholic Charities, where she found joy in helping others learn, connect, and feel welcome through language.
Nora was preceded in death by her husband, Pete; her brothers, George and Michael; and her dogs, Maggie, Roxy, and Pig.
She is survived by her daughters, Amanda and her husband, Andrew, and Kate and her husband, Alex; her four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olney, Maryland, at 11:30 a.m. on September 22, 2026. Family and friends are invited to gather to remember and celebrate Nora's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Breakthrough T1D (breakthrought1d.org) and the Parkinson’s Foundation (parkinson.org). Both organizations are meaningful to Nora’s family.
She will be forever loved and remembered.
