Entered eternal rest on June 7th, 2016. He is survived by his parents Walter and Lily Shifflett; brothers James, Steven, and Nicholas Shifflett. Grandparents Walter Shifflett of Charlottsville, VA and Nelson, Sr. and Maria T Carbonell of Gaithersburg, MD. He also leaves behind three uncles, seven aunts, and 30 cousins.
Patrick was a devoted son and loving brother. He was captain of the Clarksburg High School football team where he played the positions of offensive and defensive lineman. He was a leader of his peers and was beloved by them. He was a young man of faith, character, integrity, loyalty, and wisdom.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday, June 12th at De Vol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD.
A viewing and Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, June 13th at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9000 Warfield Road, Gaithersburg, MD. Viewing will start at 9:00 am and Mass at 10:00 am. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD.
