I affectionately called you Mama. Mama damirifa due.
We first met around a coffee machine at Fannie Mae. At that time, I had been working as a Financial Analyst with the Securities Management Team for a few months, while you were part of the Accounting Operation Team for the Single Family Business. After nearly a year, you persuaded me to transfer to Accounting Operations. Unknown to me, you had already recommended me to the hiring manager for a senior position that had opened up on your team. Eventually, we ended up working together, and that's where our mother-son relationship began.
Your warmth and caring nature were evident to the team every day. You made it a point to greet everyone in the office and engage in friendly conversations whenever possible. Your efforts made everyone feel special, earning you the affectionate title of 'team Mom.
Once you settled in at your desk each day, you were all business. You handled some of the most challenging accounting entries at the end of the month, diligently preparing to ensure everything was done on time. After completing your tasks, you always sought to help others, proving yourself to be a reliable team player and a dependable helping hand.
At the same time, you were confident and courageous in asking difficult questions to management when everyone else preferred to remain quiet. Time and again, you saved the day by bringing clarity to issues during team meetings, especially during the mortgage crisis in 2007 and 2008. You were the voice for the voiceless during a very difficult time.
You were a trusted mother, advisor, and friend to me during difficult times. You advocated for me in many places and were present during special moments, including the baby naming ceremonies in my family. You wanted to be there for your grandkids. All my family members call you Anti Becky! You loved us, and we loved you. We are thankful to God for connecting us with you. Your deep love and care for our welfare were truly felt every time we spoke. Even after I left the US, we continued to have long conversations on the phone about a wide range of topics. Our last chat was on January 1, little did I know that was our goodbye chat. I called you again on January 21, but there was no response, not knowing you were in critical health condition. You will be remembered as a loving, caring, warm, courageous, supportive, and true mother. You will be truly missed. May the Lord Almighty grant you a place of rest until we meet again!

Auntie Becky, was warm and pleasant spirit. She lit up the room with her presence and always left a cordial impression and something to make you laugh. Her loss has been devastating to all of us who knew her and shared some meaningful moments with her. Although her loss has been unimaginable, her memories will live on in our hearts. My family and I are grateful for the moments we shared and will forever remember her in our thoughts and prayers. 

May to Lord comfort her and provide her peace.
