Robert Wright

Robert Wright, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away in his home in Gaithersburg, Maryland on November 3, 2023. A true humanitarian, Robert committed his life to helping others as he worked with at-risk youth for over 20 years where he empowered them to accomplish their goals and reach their highest potential. Robert wanted the best for everyone around him and cherished his relationships with his family and friends, with many of his friendships spanning over 40 years. As an avid traveler, Robert lived life to the fullest and loved experiencing the world and learning new things.

Robert leaves behind his loving wife of 22 years, Regina, his sons Robert Antwan, Darren (Leigh Ann), Andrew (Jasmine), his daughters Donya and LaVinia, his grandchildren Delvontae, LaReecea (Joshua), Montrell, James, Maxwell, Payton, Sage, and great granddaughter, Kodi, his sisters Shirley, and Jean, his brothers Irvin (Barbara), Glenn (Patricia), William and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

To honor Robert’s memory, the family requests your presence at his celebration of life. A viewing will be held at University of Maryland Memorial Chapel, 7744 Regents Dr., College Park, MD 20742 on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 12:00 p.m.
