Rose Marie Manis

On Saturday, January 15, 2022 of Bethesda, MD. Beloved wife of the late James C. Manis; loving mother of Athena Kaiser (Ken) and Maria Cornelius (Fred); grandmother of James, Amalia and Nicholas Kaiser and Patrick and Michael Cornelius; sister of Ethel Levathes and the late Helen Landry.

Rose Marie and her husband were founding members of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, where she served on the Parish Council and served as secretary. She furthered her career as the Executive Secretary of I. Magnin, later becoming the Executive Assistant to the President of Georgetown Preparatory School. She was a beacon of light to those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her positive outlook, her kindness and her warm smile. Her family and close friends brought a lot of joy into her life. She spent the last 12 years of her life at Maplewood Park Place where she was very happy and felt very well cared for.

Friends may call at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 7701 Bradley Blvd., Bethesda, MD 20817 on Saturday, January 22, 2022 for a Visitation at 10:00 and the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, MD. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. George Greek Orthodox Church
