Born March 9, 1953, in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, to Elizabeth Wang and Siu Ki Pun, Larry lived a life marked by service, independence and quiet devotion to those he loved. He proudly served his country in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps before continuing his commitment to public service with a long career at the U.S. Postal Service. Larry was a dedicated and hardworking man — traits that defined him throughout his life.
Larry’s deep love for travel and exploration took him across the United States and to destinations around the world, among them London, Paris, Okinawa, Japan, and Xi’an, China. One of his favorite ways to travel was by cruise ship, and he cherished the relaxation and adventure that came with it. Even with his adventurous spirit, he was deeply rooted in family. Though he had no children of his own, he cherished his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. Oscar Hsu, Arthur Hsu, Pearl Pun, Jade Pun, and Crystal Pun held a special place in his heart, and his presence in their lives was constant and meaningful.
Larry was known for his quiet strength and unwavering loyalty. He could be stern and stubborn, but those closest to him knew the soft heart that lay beneath. He lived his life on his own terms — with pride, dignity, and a quiet love for the people around him.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Wang; his sister, Angela Pun; and his beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Shih Tsong “Francis” Pun and Shih Horng Pun.
