Long time resident of Gaithersburg, MD, Steve graduated from Edina West High School in Edina, MN and the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. After accepting a job with Rockwell International, Steve moved to the East coast in 1980. There, he met his wife Donna on a blind date and they married in 1986. Daughter Helena was born in 1990 and the new family spent much time together with Donna's parents, Serge and Helen Daniluck.
Steve's Electrical Engineering degree led to a career working at the Johns Hopkins Univ./Applied Physics Laboratory in the design of telemetry data recorders. Later, Steve and four other APL colleagues joined together to form a new company, Wideband Systems Inc that continued to expand on the technology they had developed at APL. Steve retired as the Chief Engineer of Wideband in 2015.
Steve had a keen mind for Washington Post crosswords and sudokus. In retirement, he would copy and e-mail blank ones to his Mom in Arizona. They shared a love of solving these puzzles and would compare notes later on to see who could get all the answers right.
Steve also loved the Delaware Daniluck beach house, baseball, flip-flops and cats Myshkin and Sasha.
Gone too soon, Steve will be missed and remembered by many for his sharp intellect, dedication to his work and family and his playfully wry sense of humor.
