Thomas Anthony Scafide

Tom was a proud graduate of Good Counsel High School and went on to dedicate 28 years of distinguished service as a police officer with the Montgomery County Police Department before retiring. His commitment to protecting and serving his community left a lasting impact on those he worked with and the community he served.

Above all, Tom was most proud of his children, who brought him immense joy and fulfillment. He took great pride in their accomplishments and the people they have become, always offering unwavering support, love, and guidance.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor Scafide; his children, Anthony Scafide and Reyna Scafide; and his brother, Dominic Scafide. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at GraceLife Bible Church, 8300 Helgerman Court, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m., with burial afterward at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help cover the funeral expenses and give him the farewell he deserves.
