Thomas Phillip Voith, Jr.

Born in Bethesda, MD, he lived throughout the DC Metro area and on Long Island NY. While attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant in the US Army, he was stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX and served in Germany and South Korea. Recently Tom resided in Frederick, MD while working at Fort Detrick as a civilian IT contractor.

In addition to his parents, Thomas Sr and Mary Elizabeth “Betty” (Reynolds) Jacobsen and their partners, Tom was predeceased by siblings Robert Voith and Kari Ann Jacobsen and niece Jessica Petsche.

He is survived by his wife and friend Joan (Snider) Voith and daughters: Stacy Foster (Steven) ofJohnstown, PA, Laura Paternoster (David) of Mandeville, LA, and Alyssa Stark (Craig) of Oxford, CT. Tom was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Logan, Collin, Kathryn, Kaia, Shannyn, Luca, Nathan, Lucy, Erynn, and Vera and his first great grandchild Ari. Tom is also survived by 12 younger siblings. He was extremely proud of his big family.

A private burial will occur at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Habitat for Humanity or your favorite charity.
