

It is with great sadness and much love we mourn the passing of Thomas Melvin Warmack on February 8, 2022 at the age of 85 years old. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage and strength in facing life challenges with a resilient spirit.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Florence Warmack of 58 years, his children Gregory (Shelly) and Andrew (Michelle) and grandchildren Kevin and Brian. Tom was born in Hope, Arkansas and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky from the age of about 7 years old. He served in the U.S. Airforce joining in 1954 at the age of 17. He met his wife Flo in 1962 in D.C. and they married a year later. In 1968 they had their first son Greg followed by Andy in 1972. Tom was a hard working provider for his family working many jobs before settling in with WMATA as a bus driver then train operator. He retired from WMATA after 30 years of service and enjoyed his new found time going on many cruises with Flo. He had many friends including those from the Senior Center and The Oatmeal Gang. He was a proud husband, father, and cherished grandfather. He will be deeply missed.
He was proceeded in death by his father Melvin Warmack, mother Louise Gregory, and brother Jim Warmack.
A private celebration of life will be held with the immediate family.
