

She was born on September 27, 1919 in Treutlen County to the late Perry and Martha Beasley. She moved to Savannah in the 1950’s and to Effingham County in the 1980’s. She devoted her life to her family, and devoted herself to her Lord as a member of Rincon Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Walter Morris, and sons Perry Ambrose Morris and Eddie Royce Morris.
She is survived by her children, Walter "Donald" Morris, Darvin Morris, Margie Waters (Charlie), “Bit” Yates (Charles), Judy Douglas (Charles), Murray Morris (Paula), Rosemary Doyle (Tim), Mickey Morris (Sheri), and Betty Ingram (Billy), 39 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren, and 15 great great grandchildren.
Annie Mae Morris was a person of endless love. Under her Lord Jesus Christ, no one came above her family. She was a devoted wife and wanted nothing more but to be the best mother possible to her 11 children. She never ceased to Amaze those around her with her words of love and exquisite memory. Everyone was welcome in her home, and no one left without being offered a warm meal. Everyone of her Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren at some point were touched by her kindness and love. She has been the anchor for the family and will leave behind a legacy like no other.
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday, April 30 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory.
Funeral Service will be held at 12pm noon on Friday in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home, with Pastor Wayne Merritt. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West.
