

She was born Billie Jo Martin in Collins, GA on August 2, 1935. She was a longtime resident of Pooler, Ga, where she owned and operated a real estate and property management business as a real estate broker with family and an active member of Rothwell Baptist Church. She was a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, always opening her home and her heart to family and friends. Her generosity through her entire life extended to anyone in need, always ready to give. She was intelligent, hardworking and loved traveling in her RV, going fishing, listening to blue grass music, reading, and playing card games and later in life became interested in researching her family tree.
Billie was married for 40 years to John “Tom” Bazemore, who preceded her in death. Those left to remember Billie include her loving husband Max Johns; her sons, Mike Bazemore (Debbie), Randy Bazemore (Susan); her daughter, Betsy DeLoach (Jimmy); her brother, Austin Martin, Jr; her sister, Betty Lindsey; 8 grandchildren, Lisa Lively, Stacey Conway, Holly Bishop, Katie Bazemore, Thomas Bazemore, Kim DeLoach, Bailey Hiatt and Davey Saxon, along with many great-greatchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Fairhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m.; Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m., with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery West Cemetery.
Billie lived an amazing life full of grace, class, and will be missed by all who knew her.
