care of Hospice Savannah following a six-year battle with brain cancer.
David was born in Savannah, Georgia, on September 19, 1964, to David R. and Joyce
Rogers Tyler. In 1982 he obtained the rank of Eagle Scout and also graduated from Alfred E.
Beach High School. David then went on to attend Armstrong State College. He was employed

Slingers Team, that lasting friendships were made. He was voted MVP of the ACS Pool League
in 2010 and in 2011.
David most recently attended South Newington Baptist Church.
David is survived by his wife, Dania Blissett Tyler; his children, Matthew Tyler, Michael
Hucks, and Alisha Silas (Wes); and two grandchildren, Hunter Hucks and Tripp Hucks. Also
surviving are his parents; his grandmother, Frances Rogers; and his brother, Mike Tyler (Pam).
Visitation will take place at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel, 2794 U.S.
Highway 80, on Sunday, November 30, 2014, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will
be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 1, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Steve McCoy
