Jeannie Marie Dowling Droste

She was raised in Garden City and graduated from Tompkins High School. She worked as an import-export broker and enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, and was an avid reader. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Barry Droste.

Survivors include her mother and father, Walter and Jackie Dowling; sons, Nick Smith, and Chad Droste (Lori); sisters, Tammy Coleman (Randy), and Lisa Roberts (Stuart); grandson, Clay and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Garden City from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.

Remembrances may be made to, Gentiva Hospice, American Diabetes Association, or the National Kidney Foundation.
