Mary Ruth Hawkes Hawkes Reid

Her husband, Guy T. Reid, parents, three brothers and four sisters, preceded Mrs. Reid in death. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Gantt Cooper (Noel); sons, Guy Lanier Reid (Ralph Heaton) and Charles Ray Reid (Gwen); grandsons, J. Gregory Gantt (Lori), Guy Paul Gantt (Becky), Ty Reid; granddaughter, Ellyn Rae Ginsberg (Martin); step-grandsons, Clifton R. Cooper (Wendy), Nathan Coleman (Amanda); and step-granddaughter, Stacie Coleman; nine great grandchildren, Ali Gantt Buechner (Greg), Brook, Shae, Clayton, and Lily Gantt, Jake and Emi Ginsberg, Abigail and Patrick Reid, and many loving and caring nieces and nephews who loved her unconditionally.

The family expresses deep gratitude to her devoted caregivers, Marcia Jones, Jewel Dock, Ava Gant and to the staff of Hospice Savannah. Special thanks to her primary caregiver for the past 13 years, her daughter, Linda.

Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 PM at Fairhaven Funeral Home, HWY 80, Garden City, Ga., and the graveside funeral, officiated by her son-in-law, T. Noel Cooper, will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at Westside Memorial Gardens, Adams Road, Bloomingdale. Pallbearers are Greg and Guy Gantt, Clif Cooper, Walter Young, Sherman, Thomas, David, and Billy Rae Hawkes.
