I worked with Phil at Daniel Defense. I still think of him almost daily since we always had talks almost every morning waiting on coffee to brew. He showed me things I had not seen in the machining environment, we talked about life and how things were so good in his at that point in his life. We talked about his Wanda, UPS, my hometown Dahlonega and the riding he would go do as he picked my brain on North Georgia. I enjoyed the time I spent with Phil and am a better person for it.

A friend told me about Phil's passing and I want to send my prayers to you. My husband, Tim Waters, worked with Phil also at Doncasters for many years. I know what your going through because my husband also passed away 12-25-12. Tim went with Phil to Hardeeville and watched him race dirt bikes. Prayers are with you.

Phil was a great friend and co-worker with me at Doncasters. I made him his fair well present, the blade with all the engraving on it.  I moved to Georgia from out of state and he brought me in as one of the crew.  He was fun, charismatic, and always willing to help.  He will be missed.  Thank you Phil for all that you taught me.

Well Phil I cherish the days we spent sitting across from the pond on race lane just talking...See you on day..

I had the tremendous pleasure of riding with Phil at Roebling Road Kinsey track days for a few years until I left the states a couple of years ago. Phil made those days very enjoyable for all concerned with his Witty banter and passion for riding. When everyone else was in the pits with heat exhaustion you could always hear the roar of Phil and his SV thundering round & round. Only the wave of a chequered flag could bring him in. My thoughts are with Wanda & family. I feel honoured to have met a magnificent bloke.

Phil started as a customer and soon became my friend, starting back at Doncasters in CT. I continued calling on him when he moved to GA. Fishing, motocross riding, and ball busting where his acknowledged favorites. I visited him back in April and as usual, he treated me with the true friendship ways he was famous for. I cannot express how saddened I am for his passing and your loss. Anyone who knew him will miss a pc which was Phil.
He made it a better place.

Wanda and family, we are so, so sorry for your loss. Phil was great to work with and always had an answer for any question we had. He will be deeply missed always. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We are deeply sorry for your loss and ours.

Phil, I was saddened to know you had to battle the awful C Word. I was Blessed to have known your smart and witty thought process. You always knew how to make people laugh and I will always remember you. I worked with Phil at Doncasters'... Phil and I came down from Ct. to start the Rincon plant for Doncasters, I am truly shocked and saddened by his passing.Phil worked for me for twenty years and during that time we were very close. We enjoyed having a little cigar together and really enjoyed the lunch buffets at the Mexican restaurant in Rincon.My most heartfelt sympathy to you and your family
