Mr. Ricketts was retired from the 165th Air Guard and was an Army veteran of WWII, where he liberated prisoners from concentration camps in Germany. He was also a veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Ricketts is preceded in death by his wife Mary “Shorty” Ricketts and daughter Janice Denise Ricketts. He is survived by sons Wilber Lee Ricketts and Ralph D. Ricketts; daughter Cheryl Ricketts (Carl) Rogers; son-in-law David Purvis; sister Rosa Lee Lee; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
