

- SAVANNAH - Mr. Robert (Bobby) Kicklighter, 72, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013. He was born January 29, 1941 in Savannah, GA. He was the oldest son of Lilla Mae and Math Kicklighter, who together with Bobby, founded Lilla Mae Kicklighter School for Metal and Physically Challenged children in 1951. The school today is known as the Kicklighter Resource Center of Savannah, GA.
Robert (Bobby) also worked with Goodwill Industries for some twenty years before retiring. He has lived at Savannah Rehab and Nursing since 2003.
He is survived by his younger brother Randall Kicklighter of Dallas, GA; and a nephew, Charles Kicklighter of Augusta, GA; along with a niece Pam Horton of Wrightsville, GA, along with several extended family members.
The family would like to extend a very special and heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Pat Schwarz, Roberts (Bobby) first cousin, who has dedicated the past ten years tending to Roberts (Bobby’s) daily needs and to her immediate family.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 11:00a.m. at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park Cemetery.
