Rodney J. Lowery

Rodney J. Lowery, age 54, of Tybee Island, Ga., died suddenly Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at his residence.

The Savannah native attended Benedictine High School and then graduated from the University of Georgia. He was a long time employee of Sprint, and lived in Dallas, Texas for the past two decades, returning to Tybee Island earlier this year.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roger Ray and Ann Murphy Lowery, and his sister, Colleen Harper.

He is survived by his brother, Christopher M. Lowery of Milledgeville, two sisters, Milissa Toro of Pooler and Althea Schofield of Savannah, several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A gathering of Rodney’s friends and family will be held at Chapel by the Sea, 811 Butler Avenue, on Tybee Island on Saturday, September 14, 2013, from 12 – 2, with a private service following.
