Roy Harris Cowart

Roy Harris Cowart, 78, of Reidsville, GA died Thursday, February 17, 2011. Mr. Cowart was a veteran of the National Guard, a member of the Chevis Oak Baptist Church, and a member of Bryan Masonic Lodge 303.

Mr. Cowart was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Cowart; his father, Earnest Cowart; and his mother, Jenny Rodgers.

Mr. Cowart is survived by two sons, Ronnie H. (Peggy) Cowart of Geersferry, AR and Rickie D. Cowart of Jessup, Georgia; one daughter, Gwen Warren of Savannah, GA; two brothers Ander Enoch Cowart of Reidsville and Earnest B. Cowart of Glenville; one sister, Elva Lee (Joe) Alston of Statesboro; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday February 18, 2011 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral service will be held Saturday February 19, 2011 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will take place following service at Pine Grove Cemetery in Reidsville, GA.
