

Sidney H. Quick, Jr., age 66, of Bloomingdale, passed away at his home on My 29, 2012. Sidney was born October 30, 1945 in Millen, GA, to the late Sidney and Lavonia Quick. He grew up in Savannah before leaving to serve two tours in Vietnam in the United States Air Force. When he returned home, he relocated to costal Florida where he had a highly successful career with Ford Motor Credit, Barnett Bank, and Sovereign Bank. He also spent the last four years working for Joseph A. Bank Men’s Clothing as Store Manager in Ormond Beach. He was preceded in death by not only his parents, but his wife Sandra Hamilton Quick “Sunshine”, and grandson Kaden Matteo Quick. He is survived by his son Brian Quick (Jennifer) of Tampa, Fl, granddaughter Mateya Isabella Quick of Tampa, Fl, sister Bebe L. Gastin of Savannah, brother in law Wade Gastin of Savannah, two nephews, and best friend of over fifty years Steve Tompkins, AKA Nalzer, of Myrtle Beach, SC. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Negrea and the staff of Low County Cancer Care Associates, and Jennifer Kote of Island Hospice, for the love, care, and support they have shown Sidney and his family during this time. A Celebration of Sidney’s life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Grand Haven Village Center in Palm Coast, Fl. Interment will be private.
