Timothy Wayne Allen

He was born March 28, 1971, in Rockhill, SC., to Sharon Scartozzi Allen and the late Glendel Allen. Tim was a firefighter for Garden City working on “A-Shift” and previously served as a firefighter for the Southside Fire Department.

Tim appreciated his calling as a servant to the community. He loved the fire department, his fellow firefighters and the communities he served. A loving husband, father and fellow firefighter is without question is his legacy. His legacy also includes loving and caring for his autistic son, Darrin, who he will continue to watch over along with the angels above.

In addition to his mother, Tim is survived by his loving wife, Crystal Adams Allen; sons, Dustin Wayne Allen and Darrin Wayne Allen; daughters, Danette Nicole Blair and Dawn Marie Kessel; sister, Dawn Marie Curl; Other survivors include numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his beloved Garden City Firefighters.

Funeral services for Tim Allen will be conducted on Tuesday March 4, 2014, at 1:00 PM, in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory in Garden City with Chaplain, Dale Simmons officiating. Interment will follow with full firefighter honors at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Both local area fire departments and law enforcement as well as those abroad will join in the visitation, funeral, procession and committal service in honoring firefighter Tim Allen. The family will receive friends on Monday March 3, 2014, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory in Garden City.

Those serving as pallbearers are Mason Murkerson, Gary Pruitt, Jimmy Sheldon and the Garden City firefighters.
