

Angela 'Angie 'Grieco, age 72, of Garden Grove, loving Mother, Mother-in-Law, Grandmother, Sister, Cousin and Friend to many, entered into Jesus' arms surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 22, 2022. She battled cancer four different occasions beginning in 1977 and three times within the past 12-years.
Born January 19, 1950 in Sturno, Italy, Angela came to America September 1958. She graduated from San Pedro High School in June 1968, and started her career as a fine dining waitress. Her kindness and attention to detail made her a wonderful server, so much so that Angela was selected to serve VIPs at Disneyland for 10-years. She also worked for Commonwealth Energy for 5-years, and as a caregiver for 15-years. She cared for many of her fellow parishioners at Our Redeemer Church.
Angela was gracious, loving, caring, and always available to help whether it was family or friends. She was an excellent seamstress and cook. She loved cooking with her grandchildren. Angela enjoyed gardening, and loved to dance. She was an active member at Our Redeemer Church. She belonged to the Sincerity Bible Group and helped with funeral function and living pictures.
Her son Brian took wonderful care of her the last 10-weeks of her life. He will always have great memories, some sad and some happy. Angela was rich in life being surrounded by family, neighbors, and friends who all loved her. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Angela is preceded in death by her parents Michele and Donata Grieco; and her beloved dog "Mika".
She is survived by her son, Brian (Heather); grandchildren Hailey (Brandon), Anthony, and Matthew; her sisters Antonietta, Maria, and Tommasina; her brother Rocco; 10 nieces and nephew; and 21 great-nieces and nephews.Her greatest joy was attending Hailey and Brandon's wedding, June 18, 2022.
A Celebration of Life service will take place Saturday, January 7th 2023 at 11:00 AM at Our Redeemer Church 12301 Magnolia Street, Garden Grove, CA 92841. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Lung Cancer Society (linked below).
