He was a devoted father to five children, Abigail Dawn, Geraldine Mae, Neil Victor, Victor Gabriel, and Natalie Marie. Also, a proud grandfather to four grandchildren, Aja Mae, Giovanni Bernabe, Rza Prince, and Major Abbot. Later in life, he found love again and shared his years with his beloved wife, Elsa Gever. He was also blessed with a stepdaughter whom he welcomed warmly into his heart, Julia Camille.
Arnel was known for his humor, practicality, and his “boujee but on a budget” lifestyle. A true DIY MacGyver, he could fix just about anything with creativity and heart. As a Certified Nursing Assistant for over twenty years, he dedicated his life to caring for others, treating both his co-workers and patients with kindness and compassion.
He loved road trips and proudly drove his 1996 Dodge Ram Van for twenty five years long enough to say the wheels almost fell off. A man of faith, Arnel found joy and community in church every Sunday. Whether with family or friends, he was always the life of the party, often showing off his dance moves and brightening every gathering with laughter.
Arnel’s pride and joy were always his children and grandchildren. He celebrated their every achievement with boundless pride. Never short of a good story, he loved talking about his favorite celebrities, upcoming movies, and of course food. He made sure his tank was never empty.
On October 18, 2025, Arnel was called home to heaven. Though he will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him, his love, laughter, and spirit will live on forever in our hearts.
A visitation will be held at Dimond & Shannon Mortuary, located at 10630 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840, on November 10, 2025, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
