Bessie Wilson

On February 23, 1943 she married Ronald in Whitesboro, New York. At the time of their marriage, Ronald was in the Army Air Corp stationed in Santa Ana. In 1953 they made Garden Grove their home and resided there for 51 years.

Bessie loved family gatherings, entertaining, traveling and volunteering. During her 30 years of volunteer work at Garden Grove Hospital she was instrumental in setting up a scholarship fund for students in medical fields.

She worked for the Girls Club of Garden Grove, as a teacher's aide at Woodbury Elementary School and in the cafeteria at Santiago High School. Laughter, kindness and creativity were the gifts she brought to her family, work and volunteer associations.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (John) Wireman, son, Gary (Mary) Wilson, grandchildren Steven Wireman, Elizabeth (Scott) Elliot, Scott Wilson, Matthew Wilson and two great-grandchildren Eric and Sara Elliot.
