

After graduating from high school, he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy in 1962 and served his country until 1968. Following his military service, Charles began a long and dedicated career with McDonnell Douglas, where he worked for 30 years before retiring in 1999.
In 1967, Charles made Anaheim, CA his home, where he lived for the remainder of his life. He was a proud and active member of the Elks Lodge for many years, an organization he greatly enjoyed and valued.
Charles was a man of many interests. He especially loved fishing, baking, cooking, and traveling, and he found joy in sharing these passions with family and friends.
Charles is survived by his son, Charles O’Dey Jr.; his daughter, Laurie Chechovsky; his granddaughters, Stephanie Guinn and her husband, Philip and Jennifer Wilson and her wife Charleda; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Myrna O'Dey; his daughters, Carrie Chechovsky and Keli Musselman; and Keli's husband, Everett Musselman.
Charles’ memory will live on through the stories shared, the meals cooked with love, and the times spent with family. He will be remembered for his service to his country, and for the full, meaningful life he lived.
