Daniel James Kawamura

Daniel James Kawamura, 69, preceded in death by his older brother Victor Kawamura and his father Masashi James Kawamura, died peacefully at Anaheim HealthCare Center on June 3, 2026 after a lengthy illness. Danny is survived by his mother, Elodia Rodriguez, sisters Rosalinda Sánchez (Filbert), JoAnn Aguirre, Tillie Davis, Elva Delgado (Dale), and his brothers Craig Kawamura (Janet), Sammy Kawamura (Barbara), Peter Alvarado and Oscar Alvarado, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Danny was a special man with a gentle soul and spirit. He was very intelligent and loved reading the newspaper and watching the news. He liked to keep up with national/world news and current events, and up until his passing still had a sharp mind and memory and was cognizant of what was happening in the world. Like his father he had beautiful penmanship that was the envy of many. Danny also had a mechanical mind and was very adept at fixing things, especially bicycles and lawnmowers. His favorite pastime was fishing, particularly in Newport Beach. Danny also loved to cook and enjoyed family gatherings and was so good with his nieces and nephews.
