From his early years, Eddie’s steady determination shaped the way he approached life. He attended La Quinta High School and later earned his GED, a reflection of his resolve to keep moving forward and do what needed to be done.
Eddie built his working life in construction, a field where his dedication and reliability were evident to all who knew him. He learned the trade from his father and carried forward his dad’s strong work ethic, an example that became the foundation of his own path. In time, he started his own business, Meza Construction, and took pride in honest work done well.
Family meant a great deal to Eddie. He was a wonderful uncle who delighted in spoiling every child fortunate enough to be part of his life, and he became a steady, caring father figure to many of them.
Eddie’s thoughtfulness showed in the everyday ways he cared for people. He was known for arriving with treats in hand, and many will remember that he made the best cupcakes and banana bread. He also enjoyed sports and was a devoted fan—especially of college football and basketball. He proudly cheered for the Angels and the Chargers and loved going to the games.
Above all, Eddie will be remembered for the generosity and kindness that guided his life. If someone needed help, all they had to do was ask—Eddie would take care of it himself or find someone who could. His giving spirit left a lasting imprint on the people and community around him. Eddie will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Eddie is survived by his mother, Mercedes; his siblings, Eusebio Jr., John, Veronica, Joe, Ricky, and lots of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in passing by his father, Eusebio Sr.
