Elizabeth my dearest childhood friend,
It seems like yesterday when back in 1960s we were playing together, performing plays and singing in our school band .
When you left Poland in the summer of 1986 we started writing letters and shared the secrets of young women.
Later in 1990s we shared the sorrows and disillusionments of mature women.
I knew so much about you but did I really KNOW you ?
You were a sensitive nature which craved love and affection and gave so much love and affection.
You were an artistic nature which easily could transform a few flowers into a beautiful sophisticated bouquet.
For me you have always been and will always be a bird of paradise- colourful , rare and elusive.
Now you have flown away to your paradise but one day we will surely meet there -
Jolusia

We were friends since 1987. I worked with her husband. My dad was Polish and I had never met a Polish person from Poland. My husband and I began socializing with Elizabeth and her husband. Eventually Elizabeth and I both got divorced, but she and I remained great friends. I moved from California years ago, but I always managed to visit her and she also visited me where ever I was living. I will miss her very much.

Elizabeth was one of the most resilient and kindest souls I have ever met. I am grateful to have had her as a friend and an important person in my life.

It's impossible to forget all the times we spent together - our trips both in the US as well as in Poland, how you were crying all the time on our wedding but still taking photos, how we planned to visit Malta, how quick to laugh you always were and how you lived.
You were taken much too soon from us but we are all happy that you were in our lives and so grateful that we managed to visit you this year.

I will remain grateful for all the great moments we had together. In the last few years Elizabeth became my favorite aunt and I experienced great love from her. We were making great plans for her retirement of the life she has ahead and more places and people to visit together. Some of the things were accomplished but her life ended too soon. Elizabeth, you will be missed and remembered as a wonderful, kind person with a great vision. You will always have a special place in my heart.

Elizabeth, you believed there is nothing beyond the natural, physical world. We live only here and now so lets make our moments fun.

I enjoyed every single moment I spent with you and long discussions about meaning of human life in the Universe. If there is something that appears to lie beyond the natural world as it is now imperfectly understood, we hope eventually to understand it and embrace it.

Thanks for being with us.
