Jofel is survived by his mother, Wilma Segui, his wife, Franceslynn Savellano, and his siblings, Clair, Randy, Henry Jovan, Henry Jr., Karen, and Arvin, together with the rest of his family.
Jofel was entered this life on September 22, 1973 to Henry Sr. and Wilma Segui in the town of Cabugao, Ilocos Sur in the Philippines. He attended Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary in high school. He then studied Chemical Engineering at the De La Salle University, Manila and later moved to the US before he turned 21. He lived in Virginia where he worked several jobs as a Pizza Hut manager, Chemistry College tutor and a Pediatrics medical assistant while he furthered his education by taking up Nursing at John Tyler Community College of Virginia. As a professional nurse, he dedicated his years serving in La Palma Community Hospital. After dating Frances for 8 years, Jofel pursued the love of his life and married Frances on August 18, 2018.
Jofel was a caring son. He was always full of gratitude and took pride in the values taught to him by his parents. He used every opportunity to show his parents how much he loved them. He was a strong person for them and gave back the love he received from them a million times more.
Jofel was a kind and supportive brother. He took care of his siblings and loved them unconditionally. He was always at his best and set a good example to his family. He was there on every occasion and celebrated every moment with them.
Jofel was a fun friend. He was a big fan of the San Francisco Giants and never missed a season cheering on with friends. Through his interest in sports, he believed that ambition motivates one to be the best, and to live life to the fullest.
Jofel was a loving husband. He took care of Frances with a heart beaming with happiness through the ways he spent each time with her. His sweet and thoughtful gestures always made Frances felt so loved. He was always there for her and took long drives visiting family, taking trips, dining out, and coming back home each day with enthusiasm for more adventures together. Each moment of his life, he always reassured Frances of his love that is endearing and unconditional.
Jofel was a devoted and hardworking Nurse. He was passionate about caring for others and sacrificed his time and effort to ensure others’ welfare before his. He was highly regarded as a co-worker, a family to most of them. His outgoing and happy disposition was an inspiration to everyone.
Most of all, he was a persevering and a generous human being, always offering what he had, going an extra mile, loving those around him with all his heart, and left the world with only good memories to treasure forever.
General viewing will be at Christ Cathedral Gallery on May 14,2021 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:30 am on May 15, 2021 at the Christ Cathedral. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at 11291 Bowles Avenue, Garden Grove, CA 92841.
