Funeral Mass will be held at St Catherine's of Alexandria Church, 3680 Arlington Ave., Riverside CA 92506 on Wednesday, May 1 at 10:00 am, please arrive promptly at 9:30 am. In honor of his service, a Committal Service will follow at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA, 92518, we will meet at Staging Area #4 on Wednesday May 1 to begin promptly at 11:45am. The Lopez family would like for those in military and police officers from the past or present to wear their uniforms as a tribute and representatives of our country and community. Thank you!!

Joe was born on July 18,1947 in Los Angeles, California to Raymond and Evelyn Lopez. He graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1965. Joe proudly served in the United States Army as a combat veteran of the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Joe joined the California Highway Patrol where he retired after seventeen years. Joe then worked Beach Blvd Pawn Shop for five years then worked at Enterprise Ride Share for thirteen years.
Joe enjoyed many hobbies during his life, including coaching sports, motorcycles, oldies music, cooking, fishing, macramé, cross-stitch, leatherwork, raising birds and training his loyal dog, “Dodger”.
Joe’s life was rich with the love of family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol; three adult children and their spouses, Rachel (Adolph), Shari (Joseph III) and Jose Jr. (Ashley); eleven grandchildren, Tiffany, Chris, Marcus, Joseph IV, Lucas, Niccole, Breanna, Alijah, Jhett, Avilee, Arbor; four great-grandchildren, Joseph V, Aaron James, Dara, Maddox; and siblings, Raymond, Phillip, Evelyn, and Tony.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
