Reverend Joseph Thuc Dinh

(1956 – 2017)

Father Joseph Dinh, 61 years of age, was granted eternal life on September 27, 2017. His final days were spent surrounded by priests, family and friends.

Father Dinh came to the United States in 1981 and attended Wichita States University, KS. He graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Science degree. After a few years, he heard God’s call to priesthood and decided to devote his life as a clergy. He joined Salesians of Don Bosco seminary in Rosemead, CA in 1991 and was ordained on September 18, 1999.

Father Dinh serves as the apostle of Jesus and devoted his services to St. Barbara Catholic Church of Santa Ana and Blessed Sacrament Church of Westminster. He then worked with the Diocese of Orange for 6 years before joining the Bui Chu Association in Orange, CA. He helped many organizations, youth groups, and Bui Chu Association in Vietnam.

Father Dinh is preceded in death by his parents Khanh Dinh and Hoa Tran. He is survived by sister Tuyet Dinh (Houston, TX), brother Doan Dinh (Houston, TX), sister Hong Dinh (Wichita, KS) and sister Tuoi Dinh (Wichita, KS). He is also survived by 34 nieces and nephews; 33 grand nieces and nephews; 11 great grand nieces and nephews.
