I'm saddened by Larry's passing over a year ago. I just learned the news from an old Glendale friend. I was in Scouts with Larry, Lou and den mother Lillian, and was SPS class of '67 with Larry's sisters. My sincere condolences to the family.

On November 22, 2014 we celebrated your life dad with all of our friends and family. Everyone shared amazing memories they all had with you. We love and miss you so much. I can't wait to see your beautiful smile again one day and hear your laugh again. Until then, I will stay and try to raise these two beautiful girls just the way you and mom raised Tracy and I. There is not a single day that goes by that I don't cry, smile, or laugh when I think about you. Always...your little girl.

Larry what can you say about the guy . We were very good friends from the age of 16 and on. I can remember him driving this four door green Pont. Catalina he supped it up to keep up with the rest of the guys with the 442 olds, Pont. Firebird. The GTX , and the rest of them. I didn't drive at the time didn't have a car. Larry would always say Come on Tony your with me. He was a hell of a guy . I lost contact with him when I went to Viet Nam. Didn't know he was in calif. the year we went to Disney land. I learned a few years later when Janet got in touch with me . I wanted to go back we had talked about it but never got the chance. I regret That now .  Never got the chance to get together with him again. I will surely miss you buddy friend and a great guy R.I.P my friend . I can write a book about you but theres no need

Well Larry, as time keeps moving on and you keep moving farther and farther away, know that you will not be forgotten no matter how much time and distance ensues. Janet, your daughters and grand-daughters - all "Larry's Girls" - will hold you in their hearts forever - as will so many others. Glad you are at peace at last. (Say hi to my mom) Miss you bro

Larry Winter was one of my mentors as I grew and learned about racing and the racing industry. I have always been proud to have owned one of his old Dragsters. He stood behind me and helped me with questions and advice when I started my business is 1998. He taught me about Comp Eliminator, 7.90 racing and most importantly how to write off my Racing. I'll always regret not being able to visit Larry after his racing accident, I selfishly always wanted to remember him the way he was in my eyes and to me, as you see in his picture. Larry was a Truly Great Man, a great Father to his Children, a Great Husband to Janet, and a Great friend and Mentor to me. May you Rest in Peace Larry.

Larry, rest in peace. Its been a long time, but I have some fond memories of our days in the Boy Scouts.

Rest In Peace Larry, you fought long and hard to stay here, but God was ready for his quickest Angel to come home.  We will think of you often and  tell lots of stories to honor your memory.  You were always a good man and the first one to help someone in need.

Rest in Peace, Larry.......I will remember you for your kindness, humor and just being you.  I will never forget your laugh.....that contagious laugh.....there will never be another.

Larry was the most kindest, caring and biggest chocolate lover I know. I knew I could always count on him to buy my whole box of Reese's cups when I had school fundraisers. Also everytime I see a UPS truck it always makes me think of him, I remember the UPS man coming to the house everyday to pick up or drop off a part. I always enjoyed talking to him in his office, staring at all his trophies or hanging out in the trailer staring at his dragster asking questions about it. We sure all looked up to him! You are missed so much and will always have a spot in my heart! You were like another dad! We love you! And I know your racing up there with all the angels!

I will always remember you for your love of cars ,rest easy my friend and race all the cars you want

I didn't know Larry personally...Hearing from his sister, my friend (Lorraine) "Laurey" he was a wonderful and loving person.  Laurey loves him so much, this is a great loss for her and the entire family. You are in my prayers.

I didn't know Larry all that well but I do know this for sure we shared the same passion for speed and I know from Janet that Larry was an awesome man husband and her best friend.Now that he's got the win in life he's teaching God a few things about making a pass down the 1/4 mile...Larry RIP now there's no more pain and knowing what kind of man you were you are preparing room for your loved ones for one day your team will assemble in heaven...

Larry was such a kinda man with an open heart. He was like a father to me for so many years and I could never repay the love and support The Winter Family had giving me over the years..  I love you all with all my heart!
