

She was born November 4, 1930 in Indio, CA to Homer and Mathilda Baert.
She married the late Charles Lindy Heavrin on January 4, 1952 and was the mother of 10 children.
Lois graduated from Marywood High School in Anaheim in1948.
She studied at California State University, Fullerton and X-Ray technology and graduated from UCLA in 1969 and worked at Western Medical Center from 1970 until her retirement in 1995 as a Nuclear Medicine Specialist.
She loved music and played the piano. She passed on her love of music and the arts to her children and made it a point to attend theater and operas. Family was extremely important to her and she felt blessed to have such a large family. Lois also loved deep sea fishing and camping. She had a gift for turning any situation into an opportunity to be productive.
She is predeceased by two granddaughters Hannah Heavrin McKinney and Courtney Heavrin.
Lois is survived by her sister Helen Strupp of Ashville, NC, her 10 children Sue Montenegro of Rio Dell, CA, Mary Heavrin of Talleyville, DE, Lori Love of Wildomar, CA, Anita Heavrin of Wildomar, CA, Michael Heavrin of Corona, CA, Geri Olney of Gold Hill, OR, Matthew Heavrin of Newbury Park, CA, Benjamin Heavrin of Visalia, CA, Winnie Heavrin of Sacramento, CA, Leslie Heavrin Burns of Carmichael, CA, 26 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Viewing ceremony will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 and Diamond & Shannon Mortuary, 10630 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840. Due to Covid restrictions on the number of attendance please reach out to the immediate family for further information. There will be a funeral mass on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 10:30am at St. Columban’s Catholic Church 10801 Stanford Ave, Garden Grove CA 92840. She will be interred at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery 7845 E Santiago Canyon Rd, Orange, CA 92869. There will be a graveside service.
