Martin Nunez was born in Mexico City, Mexico on April 2, 1965. He was 1 of 5 siblings. He spent his childhood with his grandma in Acapulco and spent most of his time at the beach with his friends. He came to the US with his aunt Maria when he was 13 and even though he went back and forth for a couple of years, he eventually decided to stay here permanently when he was 16 and attended Anaheim High School.
He met his wife, Rosa, on one of his trips back to Mexico when he was 18 and she was 17. It was love at first sight. They dated long-distance for a couple of years, until he asked Rosa to come to California to live with him in January of 1986. After Martin asked Rosa for a second time to marry him, they decided to tie the knot in December of 1988, and years later, they had their three children, Josh, Ari, and Chris.
He was a man of all trades, from being a nightclub security guard, and floor detailer, to a hospital sanitation worker, but his most loved profession was being DJ Cañandonga. Martin was a quiet man most of the time, but once you got him talking, you couldn't get him to stop. He loved to talk about anything and everything, even if he didn't know much about the topic. He didn't have a serious bone in his body, he knew how to make a joke out of anything and everything. No matter what life threw his way, he always knew how to make the best out of any situation, with a smile and his faith in God. He will be remembered as a faithful husband, and a loving father and grandfather.
Martin is survived by his loving wife, Rosa; his children, Josh, Ari, and Chris; and his grandson, Enzo.
