Thelma Ellen Burgess

Thelma Ellen Ross was born on July 8, 1916, to Ferrie James Ross and Carrie Ellen Prows. She was raised in Ogden, Utah, where she was the oldest of five sisters and one brother. She married Harry Eckland Chapple in 1937 and had three sons, Benjamin Ross Chapple, Harry LeRoy Chapple, and Lenard James Chapple.

She and Harry moved to California in 1939, where they lived until they separated in 1955. She then moved to Anderson CA, and later to Huntington Beach, CA. In 1976, she returned to Ogden, Utah to help care for her father, until his passing in 1981.

She then met and married Myron Herbert Burgess of Salt Lake City, Utah in 1981. She lived with Myron until his passing in 1995. Then she returned to Southern California to live with her oldest son, Benjamin Chapple for four years, then moved to live with Benjamin Junior and his wife Veronica for 15 years. She passed away at age of 98 on January 5, 2015 of natural causes.

Thelma is survived by two sons, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 20 grand-children, 53 great-grand children, and 13 great-great-grand-children.
